The traveler insurance taken out by the Industrial Union covers the union’s members. Children and grandchildren under the age of 20 traveling with you are also insured.

The insurance is valid for up to 45 days from the start of the trip. The insurance is valid on leisure trips abroad that start from Finland and on domestic trips of at least 50 kilometers from the insured person's home, workplace or holiday home.

For members on old-age pension or early old-age pension for whom membership dues are waived and members on disability pension, the insurance is valid only on trips abroad.

The insurance covers the treatment costs of illnesses and injuries that begin or occur while traveling with no upper limit in euros. The insurance also covers costs caused by a cancelled or interrupted trip and delayed departure.

Members of the union are insured under the Industrial Union's accident insurance. The insurance is valid on leisure time everywhere in the world.

Persons insured against the treatment costs of injuries, permanent disability and accidental death are:
- members who are currently employed
- members who are registered jobseekers with the employment services
- employed members exempt from membership dues
- student members

Treatment costs of an injury are covered to up to €2,638. The insurance has no deductible. The compensation for permanent disability is up to €31,819 depending on the disability category. The compensation payable in the event of death is €10,607.

The following types of members are only insured against permanent disability:
- members on old-age pension or early old-age pension and exempt from membership dues
- members on disability pension

For pensioner and supporting members, the maximum compensation for permanent disability is €37,123, depending on the disability category.

Union representatives of the Industrial Union are insured with leisure time accident insurance. The insurance is valid worldwide.

The insurance covers the treatment costs of an injury to up to €6,420. The deductible is €2,638, which is the amount of treatment costs covered by members' accident insurance.

Compensation must be first claimed from members' accident insurance. If the maximum amount of compensation is reached, you can then proceed to claim compensation from the accident insurance for shop stewards.

The compensation payable in the event of death is €10,607.

The terms and conditions of accident insurance for corporate and institutional customers apply to this insurance.

Group insurance for organizations is valid in the organization’s activities and events worldwide. Those insured are the members of the union and the spouse or companion accompanying the member. Contrary to the insurance terms, the upper age limit of 70 years does not apply in traveler insurance.

Organizational activities include pre-planned meetings, training events, seminars, summer and winter get-togethers and other similar events organized by the union or organization. Organizational activities also include serving as a representative of the union in meetings, advocacy work and organizational activities.

Traveler insurance covers the treatment costs of an illness or accident that begins during a trip for organizational activities. The insurance also covers costs caused by a cancelled or interrupted trip and delayed departure. The insurance may also include compensation in the form of a daily allowance for temporary disability caused by a travel accident and compensation for permanent disability and accidental death.

Baggage insurance covers sudden and unexpected property damage, such as theft or breakage, on trips taken for organizational activities. The insurance may also reimburse the costs of purchasing necessities if the baggage is delayed.

The organization’s insurance also includes travel liability and travel legal expenses insurance.
